The Advs. of Superman

"Faster than a speeding bullet.
More powerful than a locomotive.
Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.'

Look! Up in the sky!

It's a bird!

It's a plane!

It's Superman!"

The Adventures of Superman (Juvenile serial drama). First created as a D.C. Comics hero, Superman soared into American living room radios and hearts between 1940 and 1951, first airing on New York City's WOR. Sometimes known as "The Man of Steel" Superman's quest for truth and justice" was embodied as two separate civilian identities-- the steadfast, unassuming mild-mannered newspaper reporter Clark Kent and the bold, superhuman honorable action hero, Superman.

Superman (birth name Kal-El) was sent to Earth in gestational form via a special rocket from the planet Krypton, and was adopted by Jonathan and Martha Kent, of Smallville, Kansas. His superpowers slowly developed throughout his childhood. When he was 18 years old, Clark's adoptive parents, told him the truth about his beginnings. At that moment, he made two decisions; first, to use his powers for good, and next, to hide his identity.
